Lela G. Smith, 94, of Crawfordsville died at 12:20 p.m. March 9, 1983 in Culver Hospital. Born Jan 20, 1894, in Parke County she was the daughter of Wilson and Emma Beard Livengood. Her marriage was Nov 11, 1916 in Waynetown to Clarence Smith, who preceded her in death. She formerly taught school in Kansas. Surviving are two daughters, including Ruth Smith of Delphi, one brother, one sister, 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Services were Saturday at Crawfordsville.
